Most
people feed their lawns once or twice a year and wonder why the lawn isn’t thriving. The reason lawns
suffer is due to this feast or famine approach. During the famine, the long stretch between feedings,
the grass is deficient in nutrients and doesn’t have the resources to stand up to normal, everyday stresses.
When feasting, the diet is too rich and the grass becomes so flabby thatdiseases and insects readily move
in.
Providing regular
meals (known as fertilization) is the best way to ensure a healthy and hardy a lawn.
