Why aerate your lawn?

Compacted soil prevents grass from establishing a healthy root system and keeps vital nutrients from reaching the turf roots.  With aeration, soil becomes less compacted and is exposed to the circulation of air.  Once the soil is aerated, air exchange improves and the soil can easily absorb water, fertilizer and other nutrients.

Benefits of Aeration

Core Aeration can improve the overall health of your lawn and reduce maintenance by:
  1. improving air exchange between soil and the atmosphere
  2. enhancing water and fertilizer intake
  3. reducing water runoff and puddling
  4. strengthening turf grass roots
  5. reducing soil compaction
  6. enhancing heat and drought tolerance
  7. enhancing thatch breakdown
